AICO Rome Italy’s Project Tour

On a trip filled with purpose, hope, and unforgettable moments in nature, AICO Rome, Italy partnered with PrideMark Safaris and Egratta Caring Hearts to tour several community and support projects in Kabale District. The visit brought together a powerful mix of service, care, and celebration of dignity, while also creating space for moments of wonder through wildlife safaris.

Visiting Projects in Kabale: Kitabu  and Ndorwa Prison

The team’s journey focused on three key project areas: Kitabu,  and Ndorwa Prison. These stops were not just a tour—they were an opportunity to witness progress, engage with beneficiaries, and strengthen relationships between partners committed to meaningful community impact.

Kitabu Project Tour

At Kitabu, the AICO Rome Italy delegation and partners took time to interact with the team on the ground, learn about ongoing activities, and better understand how the program is supporting lives in tangible ways. The visit highlighted the importance of consistency, local knowledge, and compassion in turning plans into real outcomes. The drainage water project has been a game changer as an impact on the Community.

Ndorwa Prison Visit

One of the most impactful moments of the trip was the visit to Ndorwa Prison. This stop reflected the partners’ commitment to human dignity and rehabilitation. By touring the prison projects and listening to the people involved, the delegation emphasized the value of restoring hope, offering support, and encouraging brighter futures—regardless of circumstances.

What made the trip especially meaningful was the way each organization contributed to the mission.

Wildlife Safaris: Connecting Service to Uganda’s Natural Beauty

After the project tours, the group shifted into a different kind of journey—one where Uganda’s wild beauty took center stage. The wildlife safari provided a calm and inspiring contrast to the busy schedule, allowing participants to reflect on the trip’s purpose while enjoying Uganda’s rich biodiversity.
From sweeping savannah views to the excitement of spotting wildlife in their natural habitat, the safari moments reminded everyone that Uganda is a country full of life, resilience, and beauty—just like the communities being supported.

Looking Ahead
